Husband Dies by Suicide in Hyderabad; Family Alleges Domestic Dispute

Mancherial / Hyderabad | March 12, 2026 | A 41-year-old man from Ramakrishnapur town in Telangana allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Hyderabad’s Neredmet area on Tuesday night, police sources said. The deceased has been identified as Nagelli Srinivas, who reportedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan inside his house.

According to preliminary information, Srinivas’s family members claimed that ongoing marital disputes and personal differences between him and his wife may have contributed to the extreme step. His wife, Satla Jyothi, is said to be serving in the Excise Department after clearing Group-II examinations and recently received a promotion.

Family members further alleged that tensions had been rising between the couple over financial matters and personal issues, including disagreements related to property ownership and loans. They also stated that the couple had been living separately for some time due to professional postings and interpersonal conflicts.

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to Srinivas’s death. Authorities are also examining statements from relatives and other relevant evidence as part of the probe.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
